Description:

The Retail Supervisor will excel in selling and promoting the products and services of the resort in the most professional manner. The Lead Attendant will provide and ensure other staff members provide the highest level of customer service to ensure all members and guests have an unforgettable shopping experience at Wild Dunes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

o Provide service to all customers, vendors, and fellow staff in a professional manner consistent with mission statement and core values.

o Train new retail associates on POS and Retail standards.

o Assist Retail Manager in inventory and displaying of product.

o Assist with planning and organizing new retail items.

o Keep front counter organized and stocked with supplies.

o Be knowledgeable with all the duties of the retail shop and assist whenever needed.

o Be responsible for handling cash, room and member charges, and balancing the register.

o Always maintain the utmost professional attitude towards all guests, as well as associates and supervisor.

o Perform other duties as assigned by the Retail Manager

o Promote and support the mission statement in all interactions with customers, vendors, and fellow employees.

o Consistently acting as a role model for all Wild Dunes associates

o Report all safety hazards and suspicious person or activities to Security

o Knows all safety and emergency procedures and their role in assisting during these times

o Adhere to strict department and resort attendance policies

o Attend all monthly and required golf operational meetings

The Colleague is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Knowledge/Experience:

Experience in a retail environment preferred.

Skills:

• Excellent Communication skills- both verbal and written required

• Excellent organization and time management skills

• Good interpersonal skills required

• Excellent listening skills required

• Basic mathematical skills required

• Strong attention to detail

Abilities:

• The ability to work well as a team as well as individually at times

Education or Formal Training:

• High school diploma, GED, or the equivalent previous work experience required

We are seeking a candidate who can work 20-40 hours per week. Must be able to work at Both Surf Shop & SALT. Must be able to work weekends and holidays-minimum of 1 year of retail experience. Experience and knowledge in social media are preferred.
