Job Summary:
As a key member of the GC Topline Marketing team, the Director, Topline Marketing (based in Hong Kong) will oversee marketing and campaign strategy, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives, and spearhead demand generation initiatives for rooms, F&B, and destination marketing. This role is responsible for end-to-end management of topline activations, lead the development, execution, and optimization of Marriott's comprehensive demand generation marketing efforts across priority source markets. While ensuring marketing programs resonate with target audiences while maximizing demand generation in Hong Kong & Taiwan.
Success in this position requires close collaboration with GC discipline leaders, Field Marketing, and regional teams, while advocating for unique market needs to create audience-centric, revenue-driving programs that deepen customer engagement across Marriott's portfolio.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
• Minimum 12 years of relevant work experience as a marketing professional for multinational corporations or B2C brands.
• Experience managing and directing strategic partners / marketing agencies /vendors. Demonstrated relationship marketing skills a must.
• Solid experience in Hong Kong & Taiwan marketing, with a proven track record in demand generation and partnership-driven campaigns.
• Strong local media & partnership network (a strong plus).
• Strategic thinker with the ability to balance GC-wide priorities with local market execution.
• Collaborative leader, adept at working with Continent discipline teams, field Marketing, and regional teams to drive revenue growth.
• Willingness to travel
Preferred
• Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (written & spoken)
• Deep knowledge of marketing measurement, tracking methods, and analysis.
• Proven track record of developing successful marketing strategies that drive topline revenue.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
• Collaborates with commercial teams to develop and implement innovative marketing strategies and campaigns that align with the overall business objectives and enhance topline revenue.
• Serve as the Hong Kong & Taiwan market expert, provide real-time market insights to shape GC-wide strategies, ensuring campaigns resonate with Hong Kong & Taiwan audiences. While identifying and activating local partnerships, media opportunities, and trends to boost demand.
• Develops and manages the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI. Analyzes market data and performance metrics to inform marketing strategies and optimize campaign effectiveness. Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies as needed to meet business objectives.
• Builds out a consumer-centric planning approach for campaign execution and optimization
• Identifies and establishes strategic partnerships that enhance demand generation efforts for hotel properties, leverages partnerships to develop co-marketing initiatives that drive mutual benefits and increase brand exposure.
