Hyatt Regency Lost Pines is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Pastry Cook 1 to join our dynamic culinary team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to begin their pastry career in a high-volume, resort-style kitchen. You'll work alongside experienced pastry professionals to craft delicious baked goods, desserts, and confections that elevate our guest experience.

What You'll Do:

• Assist in the preparation of a range of delicious pastries and desserts.
• Follow pastry culinary standards and recipes with precision.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of pastry workstations and storage areas
• Properly store and label ingredients and finished products
• Support inventory control and daily prep lists
• Embrace learning opportunities and grow your culinary expertise.
• Collaborate with pastry and culinary team members to ensure timely production

• Previous pastry experience and/or a culinary degree is a plus
• A solid understanding of cooking ingredients and techniques.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and holidays.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
  
• Culinary or pastry school training preferred but not required
  
• Basic understanding of baking techniques and kitchen safety
  
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
