The hotel will be located at Zadar's landmark Maraska building on the waterfront and will be within walking distance of the city's famousSea Organ, an experimental instrument that plays music through the movement of sea waves. The HR & Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing all administrative tasks related to personnel management and payroll processing within the hotel. This position combines HR administration with payroll responsibilities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee records, employment contracts, attendance, and salaries.
• Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accurate calculations of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions, in compliance with local tax and labor laws.
• Prepare and issue pay-slips, tax reports, and other payroll-related documents.
• Provide guidance and support to employees regarding payroll, benefits, and employment-related queries, fostering positive employee relations.
• Manage administrative aspects of employee relations, including contract preparation, onboarding, and maintaining up-to-date personnel files.
• Enter and maintain organizational and job data in consultation with the Director of Human Resources.
• Monitor and record employee sick leave, vacation time, and other absences.
• Administer residence and work permits for employees as needed.
• Cooperate with external authorities and offices, such as employment services, pension funds, health insurance, and tax authorities.
• Maintain and update internal HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws, data protection regulations (GDPR), and hotel standards.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of all HR and payroll data.
• Proficient use of HRMS and payroll software to manage employee records and payroll processing efficiently.
• Contribute to the alignment of HR and payroll practices with the hotel's overall business strategy and operational goals.
Qualifications
