Fine Dining at Bukhara Restaurant - Grayton Hotel Bur Dubai

Are you an epicure? Want to take your family and friends out for an evening full of elegance, warm ambiance, impressive hospitality and sumptuous cuisine in a fine dining restaurant? Then there is a newly launched joint in a heart of Bur Dubai waiting to welcome you and your friends. Bukhara is an authentic Indian cuisine concept opened recently at the Grayton Hotel, Bur Dubai. Grayton Hotel is a part of Blazon Hotels. We had an opportunity to taste the menu on Thursday night.

The interiors at Bukhara is warm, welcoming with rustic walls and comfortable seating. The cutlery and crockery look antique with stone bowls, golden glasses, and blue plates. Bukhara is famous for Dal Bukhara, lentils cooked at low flame in tomato gravy and mild spices for 72 hours to give a rich creamy taste. Kebabs and tandoori dishes can be seen cooked live at their open live kitchen within the restaurant.

As we sat down, we ordered thandai (a milk drink mixed with pistachio and garnished with salt and pepper) and watermelon juice (freshly squeezed) along with mini samosas. There is an option of alcoholic drinks as well.

For starters, we ordered Tandoori aloo, Paneer and broccoli. Tandoori aloo was a delight, roasted potatoes stuffed with a mix of nuts, potatoes, and spices. Served along with papad and chutneys, my favorite was aloo Bukhara chutney, never knew plum was called aloo Bukhara in Hindi. In non-vegetarian starters, we ordered malai kebabs, chicken marinated with yogurt and cream and minimum spice, which were loved by our little one.

For dinner, we ordered, dal Bukhara, paneer khurchan, Murgh galoti, chicken biryani and naan. The dal tasted as delicious as it looked, cooked for 72 hours it smelled and tasted creamy. Paneer khurchan was cooked with cottage cheese, capsicums and onions. Naan was freshly baked for us, biryani had great flavor as well.

For dessert, we ordered hot Gulab jamuns with ice cream. Gulab jamuns are dumpling made out of flour, dipped in sugar syrup. The taste of hot Gulab jamun is divine. We also ordered green tea and masala tea after dinner. Masala tea tasted amazing too.

I’m glad people like Indian food in Dubai when we entered at 8pm, the restaurant was empty but in just 20 minutes it started filling up with families. It was Thursday night, so people are usually late. We heard, there is no space on Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant keeps very busy. I am sure it is getting popular because of their great hospitality and wonderful food. Bukhara is offering all you can eat Thursday Brunch; guests can choose from Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Prior reservation is required.

Every Thursday from 7:00 to 23:00, 19th September 2019 onward.

• AED 249 per couple for soft drink brunch
• AED 369 per couple with 3 drinks for each guest (alcoholic house beverages of your choice)
• AED 449 per couple for alcoholic brunch
